Got a new trach
Well when they say after 3pm they mean ANYTIME after 3pm. Dr Luciano finially got there before I left for the night. Kevin got his new trach in. Didn't look much different to me except this kind can be plugged to allow him to talk. The doctor said they did try to plug it but Kevin didn't start to talk yet. I'm kinda bummed. I wasn't expecting him to give a big ole speach or anything..but I wanted a little something. They made me step out of the room when they did this.. (Betcha if I was there, I coulda got him to talk :) Oh well, speach therapy here we come!

Kim...I bet some times it's gonna feel like one step forward/two steps back, but today is a new day, and as the saying goes..."one day at a time". I bet when Kevin lays eyes on you...it will be much more inspiring than him looking up at the doctor. He might have been really medicated with the morphine too and that could have him not feeling too talkative. Stay hopeful and we'll all keep praying. Hugs, Lori
Hang in there Kimmie. Look how far Kevin has come with the Lord's help.
I was talking with some friends yesterday afternoon at work and once again the comment was made...God has something special in line for Kevin.
I believe with all my heart Kevin is going to come out of this because God has a plan for him, you and Maya!
Just know you have so much love and support and you can do anything! You've already shown your strength and you continue to amaze all of us!

This is such great news, hopefully when you get there later today, you will be able to get Kevin to talk. I will be praying that he can.
I also told your mom that I feel that the Lord is going to take Kevin and use him in mighty ways for the Lords work.
Our prayers are with Kevin, you, Maya and the rest of the family.
God has given you such strong faith through Kevin's illness, please let it continue after he is healed. The Lord has great plans for your family.
