It was one year ago today at 9pm on January 26th when our lives would changed forever as we know it. This time last year I was given a 10% chance Kevin would survive with the extent of the brain bleed by an emergency doctor at Brandon hospital before they took him by Bayflight to Bayfront hospital in St Pete. Boy did he prove them wrong!! As we sit here one year later I am confident in saying that our darkest days are over and we will overcome this hurdle. While we still have a long road ahead of us for a 100% recovery but we are thankful for the progress Kevin has made so far and I'm so proud of his attitude to continue to want to improve himself. Kevin will not give up, he's no quitter!! While last year was the most difficult year I've ever been through and faced with decisions no 29 year old should ever have to make. I can sit here and tell you today that this year, 2011 will be our year!! One day I plan on sitting down and telling everybody the whole story of what happened that night since I realized we didnt start this blog until a few days after he got sick. I'll try to make that my next update. For today I wanted to take this time to thank everyone thats been their for us since day one. Thank you to all of our family and friends, co-workers and even strangers I don't know that lent a hand to help us out, or even extended a prayer for our family. There's no doubt we are a testimony to the power of prayer and how good God has been to us. I ask that you continue to pray for us as we are taking the necessary steps on getting our lives back to what we used to call normal. Thank you all for all your love and support this past year. I may not ever be able to pay you all back but I promise to pay it forward.
